Rebels & Heroines: A Celebration of Women in Opera

Sunday, 8 March 2026
About this event
In partnership with the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), this concert brings together arias that give voice to defiance, resilience, passion and power. The stories of women who challenge convention, claim their destiny and sing their truth.
Featuring acclaimed soprano Jennifer Davis, alongside mezzo-soprano Sarah Richmond and pianist Aoife O’Sullivan, the recital explores some of opera’s most compelling heroines. From fiery rebels to noble leaders and women caught between love and liberty, Rebels & Heroines celebrates the enduring strength of the female voice in opera, and the women, on stage and beyond, who continue to shape its legacy.
Irish National Opera is funded by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
